Polka Dotted Spring Planter Cups

This month is polka dot month at A Year In Color II, a private art related blog I joined in January.

The theme this month is polka dots, so cool, as I love polka dot everything! These paper crafts were dotted with paint and flocked with white flocking pwder, my new replacemnt for glitter!

The paper pots were found at my local garden shop. i painted the with acrylic craft paint and flocked dotted the outside. They can still be used for planting a little starter plant, but rather than plant it in the ground, I can just wait and transplant it into my big clay pots on the front porch.

the tags are cut from textured papers in pastel colors and dotted with paint and flocked while the paint was still wet! Super easy to do yourself or buy any of these in my http://www.tripletrouble.etsy.com/ shop.

Hi Hope...those are darling, and great idea on the flocking!
thanks for visiting my blog! There are so great buttons in those jars...I couldn't believe how inexpensive they were!

I love these! Will the paint harm the plants when they are put inside larger ones?
